Any woman 18 years or older – regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background – who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution, is eligible for membership.

Patriots served in many capacities, from being in the military to providing supplies to the American troops. We have volunteers to help you with your application papers.

Located in historic Prince Frederick, our DAR chapter is the only one in Calvert County, nestled between the western shore of the Chesapeake Bay and the Patuxent River.

John Hanson Daughters represent Maryland counties of Calvert, Charles, Anne Arundel, Prince George’s, Baltimore, and Worcester, as well as the states of Virginia, Florida, and New York. Our activities in education, patriotism, and historic preservation are most rewarding and enjoyable.

We invite you to join us as a guest at our meetings and learn more about Today's DAR and how we Celebrate America!
